Mockingbird Tournament Weekend

U9 schedule is as follows:

All games are on field # 3 (Bullit Fields). I register the girls tonight. If any of this information changes, I will call to fill you in.

Saturday:

• 8:00 am - Mockingbird White vs. Javanon Red. Please arrive at 7:15. Wear Black, pack white.
• 1:50 pm- Javanon Red vs. Javanon White. Please arrive at 1:05. Wear white, pack black.

Sunday:

• 9:10 am - Javanon Red vs Noblesville Rowdies. Please arrive at 8:25. Wear white, pack black

CHAMPIONSHIP: 2 highest scores at 12:40. We'll cross that bridge later. :-)

Weekend directions

Our weekend plans and directions are as follows:

Saturday:

CANCELLED
1 pm Away vs. AC United, Lawrenceburg, Ky. Girls must be on the field by 12:15. (I have e-mailed this team to find out what field number.) Wear Black uniforms, pack white for back-up!!

AC United Directions:

I-64 east and take the Lawrenceburg/Graefenburg Exit 48. Go right and that will be Highway 151. Go about 5 miles and at the light turn right, that will be US 127 South. Go exactly 2 miles looking for a green sign on the right side of the road that says "Anderson County Community Park." You will need to be in the left lane to turn into the park. There is a small turning lane off of the left lane. As you enter the park, keep going straight and you will see the soccer fields on your left. Stay on this road as it will bank to the left a little and lead you to a Pavilion.

Sunday:

1 pm Away vs. Oldham Elite, Buckner Field #9. Girls must be on the field at 12:15 pm. Wear black, pack white.

5 pm Home vs. JYSA United, Louisville Soccer Field #1. Girls must be on the field at 4:15 pm. Wear white, pack black.

Monday:

6 pm Javanon Red vs. Javanon White, Louisville Soccer Field #1 or 2. Girls must be on the field at 5:15. We are the visiting team, wear black, pack white.

Please let me know if you have time constraints. We are happy to help with transport on any of the days.

Also, the t-shirts for this tournament can be pre-ordered. I have e-mailed you the PDF file of what the shirts look like. If you wish to pre-order, I will need your checks by Monday, September 25th so that I can get them to the Mockingbird office by the deadline. Shirts will also be sold at the tournament "in limited quantities".

On Saturday of the tournament there is a big time difference in our two games. Please let coaches and I know if you need us to help with transport.

Directions to Saturday Game in Bardstown & Next Week Practice Schedule

Directions to our 11 am game against Nelson Elite in Bardstown, Ky are as follows:

Directions: Dean Watts Park

From Louisville Take I-65 South to exit 112 (Bardstown Clermont exit) turn left off ramp onto HWY 245. Travel approximately 20 miles going thru 7 traffic lights after the last light you will see a sign on the left Dean Watts Park. Turn left onto Spencer Mattingly Road, travel approximately 1 mile you will see the park on the right. Football fields are in the front of the park and soccer fields are in the back. Girls need to be on the field with the coaches at 10:15 in their BLACK uniforms!!! Please pack the white ones just in case!!!

Also, please do not forget that there is no practice on Monday since both coaches will be out of the country. Practice will be Wednesday 6pm-8pm and Thursday 6pm-8pm.

I know some of you have conflicts with other activities on Thursday. Please e-mail to let us know who is unavailable.

Directions

Here is the map to the Lexington game on Sunday. We will play on field 2A at 1pm. Please have the girls at the field 45 minutes before the game. They will wear their Black Jerseys but REMEMBER to pack BOTH just in case there is some confusion.

Monday's game against Mockingbird will be at the Louisville Soccer Field #2 on River Rd at 6pm. White Jerseys will be worn for home games, but again, pack both just in case!!

Parent Expectations

Just to recap some of the expectations of parents during the games:

• No call by a referee should be argued.
• No child should be criticized during the game.
• Avoid giving your child specific instruction.
• Give the kids room to play-- please make it a point to sit 3 feet away from the touchline. This is very important to everyone's safety.
• Do not run onto the field if your child is injured. Coaches will make sure you are on the field if the injury is substantial.
• Poor behavior by an opponent team is not reason for us to behave poorly.
• Attitudes are contagious. Please don't air dirty laundy on the sidelines. If there is a problem, please discuss with the coach!!
• Be responsible for timely arrival of your daughter. Coach prefers that the girls arrive 45 minutes early for games. Also make sure the girls are on the field when practice is starting. Please feel free to contact another parent for help if you are crunched for time.
• Please feel free to come to the coaches with ideas or questions.
