Directions for Sunday vs LFC Red

Good Afternoon team!!

Sunday we will be playing in Lexington.

Please have the girls on field in black uniforms at 2:15 pm for 3:00 pm game. As always, please pack the white jersey just in case. Although the home team usually changes if there is a color conflict, it is nice to be prepared.

We will be at the Berea Road Fields on field number 3. Here is a link to the directions:

First Game of the Season / Directions

Red Team,

Our first game swift approaches:

• Below are the directions to Saturday's game against Net Surfers. Be on field at 2:15 to warm up for 3 pm game.
• We are the visting team and should wear black uniforms and pack white uniforms in case of color conflict.
• Don't forget practice tomorrow and Thursday from 6-8 pm at the facility. It has been very hot, so bring plenty of water.

Thursday we will scrimmage the White team girls to prepare for Saturday's game.

DIRECTIONS TO CLARK COUNTY, INDIANA’S JOHN WOERHLE SOCCER FIELDS (FROM LOUISVILLE)

TAKE I-65 NORTH ACROSS KENNEDY BRIDGE. STAY IN MIDDLE OR LEFT LANES WHILE ON I-65 TO AVOID CONSTRUCTION CHANGES. GO APPROX 5 MILES.

TAKE EXIT 6A (I-265E EAST TOWARD CLARK MARITIME CENTER). GO APPROX 3 MILES AND TAKE EXIT 10B MARKED “CHARLESTOWN”

THIS WILL LOOP YOU AROUND, AT 1ST STOP LIGHT YOU WILL SEE A CUNNINGHAM’S CAMPER STORE ON LEFT AND BANK ON RIGHT. TURN LEFT HERE ONTO UTICA-SELLERSBURG RD

YOU WILL THEN CROSS 3 SETS OF RAILROAD TRACKS*** AND COME TO A STOP SIGN (APPROX DISTANCE = 0.7 MILES)

AT THIS STOP SIGN, THERE WILL BE A GREY WAREHOUSE BLDG. MARKED “CUNNINGHAM’S” ON YOUR RIGHT.
TURN LEFT ONTO CHARLESTOWN PIKE.
YOU WILL THEN CROSS ONE MORE SET OF RAILROAD TRACKS AND YOU WILL THEN SEE FIELDS ON YOUR LEFT.

FULL-SIZED FIELD AND U8 FIELDS ARE NEXT TO THE ROAD,
U10 FIELD IS BEHIND THE SHELTER AND STORAGE BARN.

End of season schedule/ Tryouts/ Year end party

We are in the home stretch team!!!

There is a lot of information here this time , so please make sure you read it all.

• We will practice today at Thurmin Hutchins Park from 6:00 - 7:30.
• Wednesday we play Mockingbird at 6PM on our field #14. Have girls on field at 5:15 in White uniforms.
• Saturday May 24 we play Lexington Classic at 11 am on our field #14. Have girls on field at 10:15 in white uniforms.
• Monday is Memorial Day and there will be no practice.
• Final Season practice Tuesday, May 27th. Place and time will be communicated once weather is determined.
• Wednesday May 28th at 6:00 is our final season game vs Javanon White. Have girls on field # 13 at 5:15 in white uniforms.

Javanon tryouts are June 3rd and June 5th from 6-8pm at the Javanon Facility. In order to streamline this process, they have asked that all current players go to the Javanon webite and complete the try out form ahead of time. Please give me the form and the $10 fee ASAP. http://www.javanon.com/tryouts.htm

Finally, Regan's parents have volunteered to host the end of year party again this year. I need to get with her to determine the time and will communicate ASAP.

It has been such a pleasure spending time with you all again this season. Our girls have come a long way!!

I hope everyone is enjoying the Derby Festivities!!!

Sunday we are playing both Lexington teams. We have expressed to the coordinator that we do not want to do it like this next year, but since the beginning of the season was so wet, there are not any options to move one of the games. Hopefully the weather will be nice and we can hang out at the field and relax.

Lets plan a tail gate scenario in between games. If everyone brings snacks and drinks, the girls can sort of snack around and relax. I can bring my small cornhole game and coach can bring the canopy to keep them out of the sun.

April 26-27 schedule

I know the girls are very excited about last weekend. I hate that I missed such a nailbiter. :-)

Here is this weekend's schedule:

Saturday, April 26th Nelson Elite Rowdies vs Javanon 98 Red 1:00 pm in Butler County

• Be on field #4 at 12:15 for warm up.
• Wear Black, pack white
• Directions: Dean Watts Park
  
  From Louisville Take I-65 South to exit 112 (Bardstown Clermont exit) turn left off ramp onto HWY 245. Travel approximately 20 miles going thru 7 traffic lights after the last light you will see a sign on the left Dean Watts Park. Turn left onto Spencer Mattingly Road, travel approximately 1 mile you will see the park on the right. Football fields are in the front of the park and soccer fields are in the back.

Sunday, April 27 Mockingbird vs Javanon 98 Red 3:00 pm on Oxmoor Fields

• Be on field # 1 at 2:15 pm for warm up
• Wear black, pack white
• Directions to Oxmoor Fields (near where we played last weekend)

From I-264 (Watterson Expressway) East
Take Shelbyville Road/Middletown Exit
Go straight through the light at Oxmoor Mall (at Star Ford)
Turn right at next traffic light into Oxmoor Mall (Christian Way)
Turn right into parking area behind Macy's
Cross street to fields

We are also scheduled to play the White team again next Wednesday, but that is the night of the boat race, therefore we are trying to reschedule again. More to come!!!

This week...

Lets hope for some decent weather this week, folks.

We have a busy week and I know we are all ready for a game to actually happen.

This week's practice schedule is:

• Monday 6-8 pm at Seneca Park.
• Tuesday game against Javanon White. Be on field in White uniform at 5:15. Please pack black uniform. Game begins at 6:00 PM. Not sure what field num ber yet, but it will be at Louisville Soccer Park. I will let you know ASAP.
• Wednesday practice INSIDE from 6:30- 8:00 PM unless you hear from me otherwise.

Things to remember:

• Please be on field 45 minutes before each scheduled game
• If we are listed first (home team) wear white and always pack black uniforms.
• If we are listed second (visitors) always wear black and pack white uniforms.
• Remember to be sportsman like on the sidelines. Let the coaches coach the girls. :-)
